The focus of Critical Dietetics is to serve as the outlet for intersectional inquiry and exploration within the context of dietetics and nutrition studies.  Critical dietetics will allow for investigation of these topics among others, informed by transdisciplinary scholarship from the natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. We also welcome diverse forms of epistemology as we openly challenge what counts as knowledge within this profession.

The mission for Critical Dietetics is to create a space for critical inquiry and dialogue to build on and broaden the body of knowledge in dietetics through collective and inclusive efforts. The journal aims to publish works that represent alternative ways of knowing that may not be fully represented in existing journals within the dietetic profession. Through the use of open access publishing, the journal will be available free of charge to anyone who wishes to engage in ground-breaking examination of the dietetic profession.

If you wish to submit an article, please carefully review the Author Guidelines and the ways of Ensuring a Blind Peer Review if your article is intended for peer review. Then simply upload it to the Journal site, so that it may begin the process for review and, if appropriate, publication. Very clearly indicate under which section of the Journal you wish your submission to be considered.

The editorial process for a submission typically consists of your article being quickly reviewed by the editor, then it undergoes a blind peer-review, followed by a message to you as the author about the final decision and if changes are required. Then the revised article goes through editing where our layout editor creates a PDF and you review it one last time before it is published.
