The Journal of Critical Dietetics (JCD) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal rooted in the values that ground World Critical Dietetics: critical inquiry, intersectional analysis, and justice-oriented approaches to food, health, nutrition, and the body.
Founded as a scholarly outgrowth of the WCD community, JCD provides a space for publishing and amplifying diverse forms of knowledge—academic, experiential, activist, and artistic—that challenge dominant paradigms in dietetics and nutrition studies.
The journal is largely volunteer-run and community-supported, and it continues to thrive because of the collective care, labor, and generosity of those who contribute. If you are a scholar, practitioner, or student engaged in work aligned with WCD’s mission, we encourage you to explore JCD—both as a reader and as a potential contributor.
